VU Changed assement and Paper Pattern




We have some exciting news to share with all Virtual University (VU) students! VU has recently made significant changes to its assessment methods, grading scheme, and paper pattern, designed to enhance the learning experience and better reflect your academic journey. Here's a breakdown of the updates:

1. Paper Pattern Changes:

Starting this academic session, VU has revised the paper pattern for courses. The most noticeable change is the structure of the question paper. Now, each paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) only. This change is applied only to PSY 101 to still but we hope that VU change it for many Courses

2. Grading Scheme Update:

VU's grading scheme has also undergone a transformation. The new grading scheme ensures a fair representation of your performance. Here's the breakdown:

 

Assignments: The weightage for assignments has been removed

GDBs (Graded Discussion Boards): GDBs will now contribute 5% to your overall grade.

Quizzes: Quizzes will account for 15% of your final grade

Midterm Exams: The midterm examination will now be worth 20% of your final grade, emphasizing your understanding of course material at the mid-point.

Final Term Exams: The final term examination has the highest weightage at 60%, ensuring that your overall understanding of the course is well-reflected in your final grade.

3. Quizzes and GDBs Details:

In addition to the changes in the grading scheme, VU will now conduct a total of 5 quizzes throughout the semester. Quizzes will contribute to 15% of your final grade. Additionally, there will be 2 Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), which will account for 5% of your overall grade.
